Ray Barbee is an American musician, photographer, and professional skateboarder born on 5 October 1971 in San Jose, California. He established his career as a skateboarder with the Powell Peralta team, where he was recognized for his technical street tricks. As a multi-instrumentalist, he released his debut extended play, Triumphant Procession (2003), through Galaxia Records. He followed this with the studio album In Full View (2005), which featured guest contributions from drummers Doug Scharin and Carlos de la Garza. In 2007, he collaborated with the group The Mattson 2 to record the album Ray Barbee Meets The Mattson 2 (2007). His musical style combines jazz influences with looping delay techniques. Barbeeās work has been featured on NPR and in various surf-related media. He utilizes a variety of instruments in his recordings, including guitar, bass, xylophone, and harp.
