Sista Mannen På Jorden, a Swedish synthpop group formed in 1986 by Eddie Bengtsson and Matts Wiberg, emerged as a reaction against the prevailing direction of electronic music at the time. The duo's influences ranged from OMD to Yellow Magic Orchestra and late-1970s space disco bands like Cerrone and Ganymed. Their first album, Först i rymden, was released in March 1998 with a limited run of 500 copies, quickly selling out and prompting the release of their second album, Ligg tyst ett tag med (1998). In 2004, Wiberg left the band and was replaced by Christer Hermodsson. The group continued to release albums including Luft (2000), Ok, Ok, Ok (2001), Lost Tapes, Paleontologi (2004), and Tredje våningen (2007).
