Showoff is an American pop punk, ska punk, and alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1997. The founding members are Chris Envy, Daniel Castady, Graham Jordan, and Dave Hyde. In 1998, the group signed with Maverick Records and released their self-titled debut album, Showoff, in 1999. The single “Falling Star” reached number 36 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart that same year. The song “Spill” appeared on the soundtrack for the film Digimon: The Movie in 2000. The ensemble became inactive in 2002 before performing a benefit show in 2005. Envy resumed activity with Mickey Molinari in 2006 and released the EP Waiting for You. After becoming inactive again, the group resumed activity in 2014. The band released the album Midwest Side Story in 2017. In April 2024, Showoff signed with Manic Kat Records and released the EP Haverstraw.
