Patty Moon, a German pop music group founded in 1998 by Judith Heusch and Tobias Schwab, emerged from a chance encounter at a university demonstration. The duo's initial recordings led to the formation of Patty Moon and release of their debut album Clouds Inside in 2004 via Traumton Records, produced by Mario Thaler and featuring string arrangements by the Holst-Sinfonietta Freiburg. In 2008, they followed up with Lost in Your Head, also on Traumton Records. The band contributed three songs to Hans W. Geißendörfer's 2011 film In der Welt habt ihr Angst, including "Landscape", "Stardust", and "Cover Me". Their subsequent albums include Mimi and Me (2011) and Head for Home (2017).
