SD Forever and Ken The Loner had already respectively made waves locally in the music
scene, but since forming a unit through Unity 0208, they have proven to be a group to keep an eye on. Blending
introspective lyrics, catchy hooks and melodic rapping, they aim to make a statement and cast more light to their fellow
contemporaries in Africa.
Both members originating from humble beginnings in Eswatini, their first meetup uncharacteristically came in a Rwandan
university and through their shared love of music, started frequently collaborating with each other, leading up to a
YouTube-exclusive album in Ups and Downs which is yet to release in streaming platforms.
The group not only aims to push creative barriers by carving a unique sound and a distinctive artistic vision, but also
to elevate the music scope for other artists based in their country. Their commitment to constantly evolving their sound
has led to collaborations with other artists, such as Max Prodigy and Kraft Mutabazi, which ultimately led to The
Avalanche Cypher, the first official release under the group's name. This also shows their openness to personal growth as
artists, constantly acquiring new skills, embracing their limitations, and collaborating with fellow creatives. This
openness to change drives their evolution, allowing them to create timeless music that is distinctive and reflective of
their broadening artistic vision.
