HØK is a modern nordic guitar trio that creates an organic and contemplative musical landscape. They accomplish an inviting and exploratory interplay and seamlessly blend contemporary jazz with melodies reminiscent of traditional folk songs.
HØK is developing their sound with inspiration from artists like Brian Blade, Lage Lund, Charlie Haden, and the open atmosphere of Jakob Bro. Comprising talented musicians emerging from the Danish jazz scene, HØK shapes a nuanced and thoughtful music.
HØK ́s debut album “Ud af byen” (Out of town) presents music composed as reflection on a time of searching inwards, and about being drawn towards undisturbed places to immerse with music and serene surroundings.
