Atombombpocketknife was an American indie rock band from Chicago, formed in 1997. The group initially featured David Burns on drums and released their first single, "Fly Vultures Fly", in 1999 on File 13 Records. Their debut EP, Atombombpocketknife, followed the same year on Southern Records. In 2000, they released their first full-length album, Alpha Sounds. The band toured with notable acts such as Man or Astro-Man? and Pinback. Che Arthur joined the band in 2001, appearing on their sophomore album God Save The ABPK. Later that year, drummer Matt Espy left and was replaced by Tony Lazzara. Their final full-length album, Lack and Pattern, was released in 2004 before the group disbanded in 2005.
