Liam Frost was born in Manchester, United Kingdom and began performing at age 15 during Akoustik Anarkhy nights at the Star & Garter. In February 2006 he released the EP She Painted Pictures. In June 2006 the single "The Mourners of St. Paul's" was voted Channel 4 Planet Sound’s Number 1 single of 2006 and reached number 74 on the UK Singles Chart. On 4 September 2006 he issued the debut album Show Me How The Spectres Dance under Lavolta Records, featuring collaborations with producers such as Danton Supple. In 2009, after a brief period with Columbia Records, he released the independently issued album We Ain’t Got No Money, Honey, But We Got Rain through his label Emperor Records. In 2014 he released the album Stay Strong with the side project TOKOLOSH on 1 August, followed by the EP The Wild Places on 27 October via Lariato Recordings. Frost toured extensively across the United Kingdom, supported acts such as Elbow and The Decemberists, and participated in cultural initiatives including the Cape Farewell sailing expedition.
