Ino Hidefumi (猪野秀史, born 26 July 1970 in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese jazz composer and electronic musician who began piano lessons at age five and later specialized in brass instruments during his secondary education. After a period of vocational training and part‑time work in Fukuoka, he moved to Tokyo at thirty, founded the label Innocent Record on 1 May 2002, and established the Cafe Tenement venue to promote his work. His first commercial release, the album Satisfaction (17 July 2006), marked the beginning of a steady output that includes the EP The FoRcE oF eXoTic (18 June 2007), Living Message (27 June 2008), INOCOLOGY (13 November 2009), New Morning (2013), and NO SATISFACTION (11 May 2016); singles such as "Squall" (15 September 2019) and "WHO ARE YOU?" (4 August 2023) followed. The single "The FoRcE oF eXoTic" peaked at number 70 on the Oricon chart, representing a notable commercial achievement. Ino Hidefumi’s performances, organized under the INO Hidefumi LIVE SET national tour, feature live reproductions of his meticulously produced recordings. Throughout his career he has maintained a solitary creative vision under the “One label, one artist” concept, releasing all material through Innocent Record and consistently delivering vinyl editions of his releases.
