Starting off with writing poetry and stories in her hometown’s bedroom in France, ALIE knew from a very young age that she wanted to create. She first started a garage-rock trio, released an EP, and played several shows with her band, including two at the SUPERSONIC in Paris, until their collaboration eventually came to an end. ALIE then moved to New York to study cinema, where she wrote and directed two short films.
Back in France, she began writing songs again and decided to pursue her career as a solo artist, aiming to blend her love for cinema with music.
Through catchy and bubbly sounds, she reflects on past trauma and her personal experiences with emotional and raw lyrics.
Influenced by artists such as Clairo, Phoebe Bridgers, and Big Thief, she enjoys exploring diverse genres and sounds, blending elements of pop rock, surf rock, and folk.
With an EP and three singles out, ALIE gained fans all around the world with 40k monthly listeners on Spotify as well as 300k streams on her “Take on Me” cover released in February.
