Transit Poetry was a German synth-rock band founded in 2002 by Sascha Blach. Their music combined pop, electronica, trip-hop, metal, and rock elements. The band's debut album, Themes from the Desolate Ocean (2004), initiated a four-album concept based on the four elements. Blach produced and mixed much of their early work, including Shamanic Passage through the Embers (2005). Their third album, Evocation of Gaia (2008), featured contributions from Omnia. The final installment, Pedestrians in the Sky (2011), completed the elemental concept and included a duet with Leandra. Transit Poetry announced an indefinite hiatus in January 2012, leading to their eventual disbandment.
