Connemara Stone Company, a folk-rock group from Essen, Germany, was formed in 1995. The band combines traditional Celtic music with modern rock elements, creating a unique sound they describe as "Celtic Folk Rock." Their debut album, From Celtic to Rock, was released in 1996. The band gained significant recognition in the Ruhr region, performing regularly at pubs, festivals, and city events such as Essen Original. Their live performances extended to Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Notable achievements include winning first place for Best Scottish Folk Band at the German Rock & Pop Prize 2010 and Dino Serci's win for Best Folk Rock Singer in 2011. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, with key members including Michael Künzel on flute in 1996 and Peter Fürbach on bass in 2015.
