Andy Middleton (born May 22, 1962) is an American jazz and classical tenor and soprano saxophonist, composer, and bandleader from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Middleton began playing the alto saxophone at age nine. He attended the University of Rochester (1980–1982) and the University of Miami (1982–1987). In 1985 and 1986, Middleton participated in programs at the Banff Centre in Canada, working with musicians including Dave Holland and Kenny Wheeler. Middleton moved to New York City in 1987 and performed with the Bob Mintzer Big Band, the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, and the Lionel Hampton Big Band. He released the debut album Acid Rain in 1991 via Owl Records. His discography includes Terra Infirma (1995), Nomad’s Notebook (1999), and Three Hearts, Three Minds (2010). Middleton won the Outstanding Jazz Soloist award from DownBeat in 1987. In 2006, he began teaching at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
