Scorefor, a German punk rock band from Sachsenkam, was formed in 1996 by Florian Kropius, Andreas Rammler, Steve Lachner, and Jens Hoffmann. Initially named Shit, they won the Zündfunk-Bandwettbewerb of Bayerischer Rundfunk later that year. Their first EP, I'm a Rotten Kid, sold nearly 800 copies without marketing support. In November 2000, their track "Fit in" was included on Visions Magazine’s “All Areas” compilation album, leading to a nomination for the "WOM New Talents Act 2000." They signed with Modern Noise Management in early 2001 and released their debut single "I Don’t Know Why" and album Leaving the Birdcage. In 2003, they followed up with Just Another Version of Truth. Notable singles include "Heavy Weight Champion" (2002), "Where Are the Flowers Daddy Used to Bring" (2004), and the German-language track "Söhne der Berge".
