Die Streuner, a German medieval band, was formed in 1994 in Bonn, initially consisting of Miriam Petzold and Roland Kempen, who first performed together at Burg Satzvey. Over time, the lineup expanded to include Martin Seifert, Carsten Hickstein, and Matthew Rouse, forming a quintet. Die Streuner gained prominence performing at medieval markets, castle festivals, and knightly games, with regular appearances at events like the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum and the Kaltenberger Ritterturnier. Their repertoire spanned six centuries of music, including tavern songs, folk tunes, drinking songs, and original compositions. Notable albums include Wein, Weib und Gesang (1998), Schnorrer, Penner, schräge Narren (2000), and Fürsten in Lumpen und Loden (2004). The band's lyrics were predominantly in German but also featured French and English texts.
