Petr Vronský, born March 4, 1946 in the Czech Republic, is a conductor, violinist, and music educator from a musical family. Vronský studied violin at the Plzeň Conservatory until 1967 and then continued his education at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts, graduating from the conducting course in 1972. Vronský joined the Pilsen Opera at the J. K. Tyl Theatre as a conductor. From 1983 to 1991, he conducted the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and later served as chief conductor of the Moravian Philharmonic from 2005 to 2018. Vronský taught at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno before lecturing in conducting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where his students included conductor Tomáš Brauner.
