Elizabeth Ann Guttman, known professionally as E. G. Daily, was born on September 11, 1961, in the United States of America and is an American actress and singer. She began her career as a singer by signing with A&M Records in 1985, working alongside Madonna's frequent collaborators John "Jellybean" Benitez and Stephen Bray. Her debut single "Say It, Say It" was released that year, reaching number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Daily's first studio album Wild Child followed in May 1985. She contributed backup vocals for The Human League frontman Philip Oakey’s debut solo album, Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder, that same year. Her subsequent albums include Lace Around the Wound (May 25, 1989), Tearing Down the Walls (April 13, 1999), and Changing Faces (2008). Notable songs from her discography include "Love in the Shadows" featured in films like Thief of Hearts and Circuit, and "Mind over Matter", which appeared in the film Summer School. Daily also performed on the soundtracks for Scarface with "Shake It Up" and "I'm Hot Tonight"; these songs were later included in video games such as Grand Theft Auto III and Scarface: The World Is Yours. In 2013, she appeared as a contestant on the fifth season of NBC's reality show The Voice, performing "Breathe" by Faith Hill during her blind audition.
