Ivan Georges Jullien, also known as Ivan Jullien, born on October 27, 1934, in Vincennes, France, was a trumpeter, composer, arranger, and conductor. He began his career arranging films like Un homme et une femme and composing for works such as Tir groupé. In the 1960s and 1970s, Jullien led the Paris Jazz All Stars big band, recording albums including Paris Point Zero (1966) and Secret Service (1971). He collaborated with artists like Michel Legrand, Claude Nougaro, and Johnny Hallyday. His notable awards include the Prix Django-Reinhardt in 1971. In 1982, Jullien began teaching orchestration and arrangement at the Centre d'informations musicales. He also received the award Victoires de la musique in 2003. Jullien passed away on January 3, 2015, at the age of 80 due to respiratory failure.
