Jeremy Cunningham, born around 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an American jazz musician. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, studying under John Von Ohlen, followed by a Master's degree from DePaul University under Dana Hall. In the late 2000s, Cunningham began his career in Chicago’s jazz scene, with his first recordings coming in 2010 with trumpeter Wade Baker on Profilin’. Throughout the following years, he collaborated with notable artists such as Von Freeman, Chris Foreman, and Jeff Parker. In 2016, Cunningham released the album Re: Dawn (From Far) with his quartet featuring Josh Johnson, Jeff Parker, and Matt Ulery, along with guest musicians Dustin Laurenzi and Andrew Toombs. His subsequent releases include The Weather Up There in 2018 and A Better Ghost in 2022 with Paul Bryan and Dustin Laurenzi.
