James Richard Mullett, known professionally as James Fox, was born on April 6, 1976, in Cardiff, Wales. He began his musical journey at six with piano lessons, later teaching himself guitar, drums, harmonica, and mandolin. His professional career started at 15, touring South Wales working man's clubs with various bands alongside his elder brother Dean. In 2003, he participated in the BBC's Fame Academy, adopting the stage name James Fox and finishing fifth. In 2004, he represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Hold Onto Our Love", which reached number 13 in the UK chart. He later released the six-track EP Six String (2007) and his debut album Rocking Chairs And Lemonade (2008), featuring the single "Higher". James Fox has supported numerous artists, including Lulu, Wet Wet Wet, Natasha Bedingfield, and Tina Turner. He also performed for British troops on active service in various locations and at charity events, including the Royal British Legion Remembrance Day Festival at the Royal Albert Hall. He has also ventured into musical theatre, playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and the lead role in Movin' Out. He took on the role of Paul McCartney in the tribute show Let It Be, performing both in London's West End and on Broadway.
