Los Chicros, a French electronic and Parisian music group, was founded in 2001 by Philippe Monthaye and Mathieu Warsky. The band's distinctive sound emerged from their use of affordable instruments like Casio synthesizers. Their first release was the song "Walking Backwards" on the compilation I Hear Voices (2002). In 2003, they released the Back in the Wild EP, which featured remixes by Le Tone, Double T, and Greenskeepers. The track "Back in the Wild" later appeared on Les Inrockuptibles' compilation CQFD in 2004. The band released the album Radio transmission in 2009, followed by the album What's new today on TV? in 2014.
