Alvin és a Mókusok, a Hungarian punk rock band formed in 1993 in Nyíregyháza, initially consisted of Alvin, Virus, and Kisbéres. The group's name translates to "Alvin and the Chipmunks," inspired by the fictional band of the same name. After lineup changes, including the addition of Gergö on drums in 1996 and Viki on bass in 1997, Alvin és a Mókusok began releasing albums such as Jézusnak volt-e szakálla?! (1995) and Jópofa (1996). The band's music blended punk rock with traditional Hungarian elements. Notable albums included Punkpopsuperstar (2001), featuring punk covers of classic Hungarian pop songs, and Mi ilyenkor szoktunk sírni! (2006). Alvin és a Mókusok celebrated their 20th anniversary with a concert in December 2013 and continued to tour extensively throughout Europe in subsequent years.
