John Basset Stevens IV, born July 28, 1987 in Buffalo, New York, is an American classic pop singer. He gained national attention as the sixth-place finalist on the third season of American Idol in 2004, where he performed "That's Amore" and "The Way You Look Tonight". At 16, he was the youngest contestant to make the finals. Following his appearance on American Idol, Stevens signed with Maverick Records and released his debut album, Red. Produced by Steve Tyrell and executive produced by David Foster, the album featured covers of "Here, There and Everywhere" by The Beatles and "This Love" by Maroon 5. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in May 2009 and released a Christmas album, Home for Christmas, on November 1, 2009.
