Australian pop rock group, Invertigo, was formed in Melbourne in 2000 by three Leigh brothers: Jerry Leigh on guitar, James Leigh on keyboards, and Vince Leigh on drums; together with Christian Argenti on lead vocals. The Leigh brothers had previously been part of Vertigo, which released the single "Forever Lately" in June 1997 via Gotham/BMG, peaking at number 38 on the ARIA Singles Chart. After Hugh Wilson left Vertigo in 1999, the Leigh brothers formed Invertigo with Christian Argenti as the new vocalist. Invertigo's debut single "Desensitized" reached the top 30 in June 2000 and was followed by their highest-charting single "Chances Are...", which peaked at number 19. Their third single, "Say You Do", also made it to the top 40. The band's debut album Forum, released on July 9, 2001, reached number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Invertigo disbanded in 2003 following Christian Argenti’s departure. In addition to their chart success, Invertigo performed "Desensitized" on the TV variety show Russell Gilbert Live and had a sample of the song featured on the Osmosis Jones Sampler CD. Following the disbandment, Christian Argenti pursued a career as a radio announcer. The Leigh brothers continued their musical endeavors, with James touring with the Idols of the 80s band in 2005.
