Belouis Some, born Neville Keighley on December 12, 1959, in Forest Hill, south London, is a British singer and songwriter. He began playing guitar and writing songs while attending Dulwich Prep London and Royal Russell School. In 1981, under the name Nevil Rowe, he released his first single "Lose It to You" on The Cue Record Label. Keighley formed Belouis Some in 1982 and started performing live gigs around London. After signing with Parlophone in October 1983, he released his debut single "Target Practice" in spring 1984. Belouis Some's first album Some People was released in 1985, featuring the hit singles "Imagination" and "Some People", both of which charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The video for "Imagination" directed by Storm Thorgerson caused controversy due to its full frontal nudity. Belouis Some contributed "Round, Round" to the soundtrack of John Hughes' film Pretty in Pink, released in February 1986. He supported Frankie Goes to Hollywood on their North American tour and performed at Queen's Magic Tour in the summer of 1986. His self-titled second album Belouis Some was recorded in late 1986, and he returned in 1993 with Living Your Life, featuring the track "Sometimes" and non-album single "Let Me Love You for Tonight" in 1995.
