Reijo Vilhelm Frank, born on July 8, 1931 in Helsinki, Finland, was a Finnish singer known for his interpretations of workers' and socialist songs. He began his career by working at the Pleuna machining workshop in Helsinki as an installer for 40 years while also pursuing music. His breakthrough came with his rendition of "Veli, sisko", a pacifist song written by Elsa Rautee following the Spanish Civil War. Frank released several albums including Talonpoikaisarmeijan lauluja (1970), Työväen lauluja (1970), and Rauha ystävyys solidaarisuus (1973). In 1982, he received the first prize for workers' culture from the People's Education Foundation. Frank was awarded the Ekenäs Medal by the People's Education Foundation in 2008 alongside President Tarja Halonen. He passed away on March 17, 2017, in Helsinki.
