Martin Lee Zellar is an American rock, country, and Americana singer-songwriter born on June 14, 1963, in Austin, Minnesota. He established a musical background in high school by forming the band Fallout and later performing with the Take It to the Limit Band.In 1984, Zellar co-founded the Gear Daddies in the Twin Cities with Nick Ciola, Randy Broughten, and James “Billy” Dankert. The recording career featured the albums Let's Go Scare Al (1988) and Billy's Live Bait (1990), which included the song “I Wanna Drive the Zamboni”. After the group disbanded in 1992, Zellar formed the ensemble Martin Zellar and the Hardways. His discography included The Many Moods of Martin Zellar and the Hardways (1998), Rooster's Crow (2012), and Head West (2023). Professional activity also featured the Neil Diamond tribute band Neil!.
