Los Calzones, a ska music group from Argentina, was formed in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires, in 1988. The band initially performed covers while developing their own material. In 1989, they established themselves as an independent band and released their self-titled debut album, Los Calzones Rotos, in 1991, which included hits like "Ska del Novio" and "Skabaret". Their subsequent albums, including Porrompompero (1993) and Jungla Ska (1995), solidified their popularity. In 1996, they performed at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile. The band's name was shortened to Los Calzones in 1997, coinciding with the release of Aconcagua, which featured the hit "Te sigo". Notable albums include Mugre (1999) and Plástico (2001). Their 2007 album, Tanguito, showcased their versatility with tracks like "Loco" featuring Lila Downs. In 2019, they released Chamuyo.
