'L'Autre Destination' music video is now out.
Anton is a solo darkwave project led by Anton Steinbock since 2021. Reflecting the urge to let melancholy flow, its music places a strong emphasis on romanticism. Influenced by post-punk legends like Joy Division and the modern darkwave of Lebanon Hanover, its music channels a deep, brooding energy. In 2024, the debut EP Volcan (Detriti Records) marked the project’s transition to the stage, with a coldwave-driven live setup featuring Ewen & Ancelin Dinam (bass - drums) as well as guitarist Sofiane Brahmi . With the release of first album Glacier / Volcan in March 2025 on the Parisian label Icy Cold Records, the lineup evolves into a trio, keeping Ewen Dinam on bass and integrating Paul Dupont on guitar, embracing an even darker and more haunting aesthetic.
Released one year after the track first appeared on Volcan, “L’Autre Destination” now finds
its haunting visual form. The music video encapsulates the darkwave solo project’s signature mood— melancholy, romantic, and austere. Blending post-punk minimalism with deep emotional
intensity, the track stands as a poignant meditation on longing and disorientation.
