Hermine Demoriane, born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, in 1942, was a French singer known for her contributions to cabaret and pop music. She began her career as a tightrope walker, writer, and journalist before venturing into music. In 1974, Demoriane made her public singing debut with "I won't make it without you" by Nick Lowe while performing as a funambulist for The Moodies. Her first single, "Torture", was released in 1980 on Salomé Records and later reissued on Human Records. In 1982, she released her debut album, The World On My Plates, through Crammed Discs. This was followed by Lonely At The Top, released in984 on Salomé Records. She toured extensively in the early 1980s and continued to perform into the late 2000s, including appearances at the Andrew Logan Summer Sale in London.
