Max de Wardener is a British composer known for his work in film and television scoring and jazz and electronic music. After graduating from York University and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he began composing for film and television, notably working on Pawel Pawlikowski's Last Resort (2000) and Jerry Rothwell's documentary Heavy Load (2008). De Wardener has collaborated with artists such as Dani Siciliano, Matthew Herbert, Róisín Murphy, and Plaid. His solo discography includes Where I Am Today (2004), Kolmar (2019), and Music for Detuned Pianos (2020). In 2021, he composed the score to the feature film The Power with electronic music composer Gazelle Twin.
