Into Paradise, an Irish indie rock group from Dublin, formed in 1986 under the initial name Backwards into Paradise. The band's early releases included the EP Blue Light in 1989 and Change in 1990, both released on the independent label Setanta. Their debut album, Under the Water, followed shortly after. In 1991, Into Paradise signed with a major record label and released their most successful album, Churchtown, produced by Adrian Borland. Notable singles from this period include "Burns My Skin" and "Angel". The band disbanded in 1993.
