DJ Roots, also known simply as Roots, is a South Korean producer born on March 5, 1993, who debuted independently in 2019. He first gained attention with early singles such as “Just Breathe” and “Jamais Vu,” establishing a laid-back yet atmospheric production style. Over the years, he has expanded his musical scope through releases like the EPs Roots(2020) and High(2023), as well as the collaborative album Room with Michel Yang in 2021. In addition to his solo work, DJ Roots has collaborated with artists including Zick Jasper and Blase. In December 2025, DJ Roots released a new single "My dreams give me chills".
