Kasai Allstars is a Congolese collective from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, consisting of approximately 25 musicians from five different ethnic groups. The group blends traditional music with amplified instruments and modern production techniques. Their debut album, In the 7th Moon, the Chief Turned Into a Swimming Fish and Ate the Head of His Enemy by Magic, was released in 2008 and received critical acclaim, featuring on multiple end-of-year lists, including Mojo's Best Album Of 2008 at Number 33. In 2014, they released their second album, Beware the Fetish. Kasai Allstars have performed extensively in Europe, including notable appearances at Glastonbury and Roskilde festivals. Their music was prominently used in the film Félicité (2017).
