Daphné Hendricks, known professionally as Do Piano, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, and worked as a singer. After studying in Brussels and settling in Biarritz, she adopted a Latin‑sounding pseudonym and began writing songs in English. Her first single, "Again", released in 1985, achieved notable success in France, blending new wave and electro influences and showcasing her contralto voice. In 1986 she followed with the psychedelic‑styled single "All the Time". Throughout her career, she remained active in the Swiss and French music scenes, collaborating with her brother, a composer, and maintaining a presence on various independent labels. She passed away on 6 February 2020 in Clermont‑Ferrand, France, at the age of 57.
