Pills, a French electronic music group, was founded in 1991 by Anthony Sandor and Ludovic Bordas. The band initially performed under the name Ice Bath before changing to Pills. Their early breakthrough came in 1992 when they participated in the first large-scale public rave event organized by the Transmusicales de Rennes, alongside notable acts such as William Orbit and Underground Resistance. In 1995, Pills released their debut album Foundation, followed by Electrocaine in 1998. The latter album achieved significant commercial success and included tracks like "Dark Side" and "Rock Me", which were used in promotional campaigns for Sega's Dreamcast console and the Caisse d'épargne bank, respectively. However, internal disagreements led to Ludovic Bordas' departure from the group in 1998. Despite this setback, Pills continued to release music, including the EP I Preach To Party in 2000 and their final album 21st Century Works & Funs in 2006. Throughout their career, Pills remained influential in the French electronic music scene, often cited as pioneers alongside labels like Rave Age Records, predating the more widely recognized French touch movement.
