Domenic Marte, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was an American singer, songwriter, and producer of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. He began his career in 2004 with the bilingual bachata-pop single "Ven Tú", which peaked at number 7 on Billboard Tropical Airplay and stayed on the chart for 34 weeks. He followed with the studio albums Intimamente (2004), Deseos de Amarte (2007), The Voice (2013), For the World (2015)—his first full English bachata album—and Al fin libre (2018). Notable tracks included "Muero De Celos", "Como Quisiera", and "In My Eyes". In 2022, he released the compilation album For You Vol. 1, which featured the track "Dame Tu Amor". He earned nominations at Premio Lo Nuestro and Billboard Latin Music Awards and was the first US-based bachata artist to perform at Cuba’s Casa de la Música in 2023. He released the album For You Vol. 2 in 2026.
