Piney Gir

Piney Gir is an American musician and singer born Angela Dawne Penhaligon in Kansas City, United States. She was a member of the synth-pop duo Vic Twenty, which toured with Erasure and released a single on the Mute Records sub-label Credible Sexy Units. In 2003, she signed with Truck Records. Her debut album is Peakahokahoo (2004), followed by Hold Yer Horses (2006), which was named one of the top five albums of the year by Radio Times. Gir toured with Gaz Coombes and Ride and performed at festivals including Glastonbury and South by Southwest. She is a member of the backing vocal group Roxys.
