The Hazey Janes, an indie pop band from Dundee, Scotland, formed in 2000 and consisted of Andrew Mitchell, Liam Brennan, Alice Marra, and Matthew Marra. Their initial breakthrough came with the self-titled mini-album, produced by Mark Freegard in 2004. In 2006, they released their debut full-length album, Hotel Radio, which garnered significant acclaim from music critics, including Q magazine and Mojo. In the same year, they performed at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Their subsequent albums include The Winter That Was (2011) and Language of Faint Theory (2014), both released through Armellodie Records. The band also collaborated with notable artists such as Michael Marra on the EP Houseroom (2012) and Liz Lochhead on the album The Light Comes Back (2016). Throughout their career, The Hazey Janes toured extensively in the UK and internationally, supporting acts like Snow Patrol and Wilco.
