Buen Chico, an indie rock band from West Yorkshire, was formed in 1998 by school friends Tudor Tatchell-Evans, Heather Sowden, Morgan Tatchell-Evans, and Simon Marks. The group began writing songs and performing locally before releasing a cassette EP in early 2001 featuring home recordings of songs written prior to the death of frontman Tudor Tatchell-Evans in 2000. Following this loss, Matthew Haigh joined on guitar and vocals, with Morgan taking over lead vocals and songwriting duties. The band released two more EPs in 2002 and began gigging extensively. In 2003, several members left the band to pursue other projects, leading Morgan Tatchell-Evans to recruit Kirsty Dolan on bass and Alan Kenworthy on drums. The trio moved to Leeds and continued performing, releasing their debut album Right To Re-Arrange in 2007 on Faith & Hope Records. Their next album, Our Love's Enormous, was released in 2008 under the band's own Geek Love Records imprint.
