Basura was a Spanish punk band formed in Rentería, País Vasco, in 1981 following the dissolution of Alarma. Their debut performance that year during a street concert in San Sebastián ended in altercations and became part of local lore. Basura gained prominence headlining Anti-Bardenas in Tudela and performing with UK Subs at Lasarte's Autódromo. They played shows across Spain, including Barcelona and Tenerife. Despite disbanding in 1985 without official recordings, their live performances were widely circulated on pirate cassettes. In 2004, Basura reunited for a concert honoring Carlos "Mahoma" of RIP. Two years later, Beltza Records released Dando ostias sin parar, which included a 1983 live performance. The band's final show was held on November 17, 2007, at Rentería's Landare bar. In 2012, Xabi revived Basura with new members and released ¡Sois algo repelente!.
