Ivan & Alyosha are an American indie pop and indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, U.S., formed in 2007 by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary. Their first release was the EP The Verse, the Chorus in 2009, produced by Eli Thomson in Los Angeles. Their name comes from characters in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Brothers Karamazov. They gained national recognition when NPR featured them during their coverage of SXSW in 2010. Their debut full-length album, All the Times We Had, was released in 2013 with Dualtone Records. They toured supporting artists such as Brandi Carlile and Aimee Mann. Notable releases included the single "Running for Cover" (2012) and their second full-length album It's All Just Pretend (2015). Other album releases included Ivan & Alyosha (2020) and All We Ever Had (2023).
