Celtic Fiddle Festival, a group of Celtic fiddlers, was formed in 1993 by Johnny Cunningham from Scotland, Kevin Burke from Ireland, and Christian Lemaître from Brittany. The trio decided to tour together after Cunningham and Burke's residency in the US and were joined by guitarist John McGann for their initial performances. Their debut album, The Celtic Fiddle Festival (1993), was released on Green Linnet Records following a successful tour. The group continued to evolve, with André Brunet replacing Johnny Cunningham after his death in 2003. The group has also featured various accompanists over the years, including Soïg Sibéril, Tony McManus, Ged Foley, and Nicolas Quemener. Subsequent albums included Encore (1998), Rendezvous (2001), Play On (2005), and Équinoxe (2008). In 2013, they released their sixth album, Live in Brittany, recorded during a concert celebrating their 20th anniversary.
