Broken Door

Broken Door, a Swedish musical duo consisting of Pier Schmid and Tobias Östlund, formed in late 2006 when both musicians met for a potential collaboration. Schmid, with a background in jazz and several hits to his name, served as the songwriter and backing vocalist, while Östlund, known for his versatility across rock, jazz, soul, and musical theater, took on lead vocals. Their first major performance occurred in January 2008 at Karlstad, Sweden. The duo's debut single "Angel" reached number 8 on the Swedish Singles Chart, marking their breakthrough moment. Broken Door released their debut album Time for Changes in 2012, which debuted at number 13 on its first week of release. They have been signed to Metronome/Warner Music and have also released notable singles such as "In the Shadow" (2009) and "Hey You" (2012).
