The Scrucialists are a Swiss reggae band from Basel, formed in 1997. Initially featuring singer Richard "Ites" White, the group released their first singles "Dreamer" and "Longtime" in 1999 and 2000 respectively. After White's departure, The Scrucialists continued as a backing band for various artists. In 1999, they established One Drop Studio and later founded One Drop Records in 2000. Their international breakthrough came in 2002 with performances at European festivals alongside artists like General P and Lady Saw. Notable album releases include King Django Meets The Scrucialists (2003) and TAFS's 44Live! (2004). In 2005, they released their album All the Way, featuring Ward 21, Turbulence, Luciano, and Mykal Rose.
