Chuck Manning, born on May 30, 1958, in the United States of America, is an American musician known for his work as a jazz saxophonist. His career began with collaborations alongside notable jazz figures such as Charlie Haden and Joe Lovano. In the early stages of his career, he was part of Alphonse Mouzon's band and contributed to several albums by Bobby Bradford Mo’tet and Sal Marquez Quintet. Manning recorded multiple albums in the 1990s with the Los Angeles Jazz Quartet on Naxos Jazz, including contributions from bassist Darek Oleszkiewicz. His first album under his own name, Notes From the Real, was released in 2007 on TCB Records. He also collaborated with Isla Eckinger on the 1991 album L.A. Calling. Throughout his career, Manning has worked with Bennie Maupin, Steve Porcaro, and Dick Wood, among others.
