Antonis Vardis was a Greek composer and singer born in 1948. His career spanned four decades, during which he collaborated with singers George Dalaras, Yiannis Parios, and Anna Vissi. Vardis released his debut solo album, Oramatizomai (1976). Notable works included the song “S’akoloutho” (1987) and the album Leuki isopalia (1990). In the 1990s and 2000s, he composed for artists including Keti Garbi and Antonis Remos. Vardis also collaborated with Austrian musician Gert Steinbäcker on the song “O xenos” (1997). He died in 2014. His final album, Tha zografiso ti zoi mou me bogies (2015), was released posthumously.
