Matti-Lauri Louhivuori, born on September 14, 1928, in Heinola, Finland, was a Finnish schlager musician and singer. He began playing the violin at a young age and later learned the guitar under Ingmar Englund's tutelage. Louhivuori's breakthrough came when Reino Helismaa introduced him to producer Toivo Kärki, leading to his first recordings in 1951 with "Kievarin Kirsti" and "Silkki-Saara". He gained prominence through collaborations with Toivo Kärki, Henry Theel, and the group Metro-tytöt. Louhivuori's notable songs include "Me tulemme taas", "Muhoksen Mimmi", and "Minä soitan sulle illalla". His career spanned over two decades, culminating in his final album Maailman Matti (1975).
