Saiko is a Chilean pop rock band formed in Santiago in 1999, known for their distinctive sound and the captivating presence of lead vocalist Denisse Malebrán, alongside the musical expertise of Rodrigo “Coti” Aboitiz and Luciano Rojas, both former members of the iconic group La Ley. Their debut album, Informe Saiko (1999), established them as a prominent force in Chile’s music scene, followed by Campos finitos (2001) and the critically acclaimed Las horas (2004). After Malebrán’s departure in 2006, Saiko released Volar (2007) with Marcela Thais as vocalist. The band reunited with Malebrán and Aboitiz in 2012, revitalizing their original lineup and releasing Trapecio (2013). Continuing their evolution, they delivered Lengua muerta in 2017, marking a new phase without Aboitiz. Saiko’s discography also includes the compilation Todo Saiko (2003), live releases such as Sigo Quemando Infinitos (2017), and the digital album Vermouth en vivo Concepción (2020). In 2023, the group released their seventh full-length album Drama, featuring tracks like "Amaneciendo" and "Se Nos Hace Tarde."
