Gale Robbins, born Betty Gale Murphy on May 7, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, was an American singer and actress. She started her career as a model before transitioning to singing, performing at the Hotel Sherman's College Inn in Chicago in 1939 under the name Gale Robbins. Her early musical collaborations included performances with Phil Levant and Jan Garber. Robbins' radio appearances began in 1942 with The Ben Bernie War Workers' Program on CBS. She signed with Vik Records in September 1957 and released her album I'm a Dreamer in 1958. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to film. She passed away on February 18, 1980, in Tarzana, California, at the age of 58.
